Recently, invited by the Zhejiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Zhejiang), Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. attended an in-depth exchange as an enterprise representative of Zhejiang’s reproductive health industry with Dr. Karin Hulshof and her delegation, the newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in China.
Sun Rui, Marketing Director of the Prescription Drug Business Department of the Sales Company, led the delegation to attend the event. She elaborated on Xianju Pharmaceutical’s development and innovation philosophy to the participants from multiple dimensions, including enterprise evolution, corporate honors, product innovation, core strengths and social responsibility. Among them, the government-hospital-enterprise integrated cooperation model and online-offline communication mechanism explored by the Fertility Protection Initiative for Women were highly recognized by the UNFPA representatives.
Dr. Karin Hulshof pointed out that infertility caused by abortion has become a global issue, which is also prevalent in African countries such as South Africa and Kenya. At present, UNFPA is conducting positive publicity campaigns in Nepal and other countries to raise women’s awareness of contraception. In the exchange session, all participants had a lively discussion on topics such as future cooperation and development plans.
